If you live in San Jose, most specifically in Willow Glen, you may know the name Gina Marciano as a local Realtor®. She has been a solo agent for the past 32 years–working with an assistant she’s known since high school–and covers the Silicon Valley/Willow Glen region. Or perhaps the name is familiar because you saw her signs as you grabbed a wipe before entering your neighborhood grocery store from a kiosk with her signature photo.
Prior to joining the real estate field, Gina Marciano spent many years in corporate sales. “My background has allowed me to become one of the leading sales associates,” she states. “I was born and raised in Willow Glen. Living and working in the area where I grew up gives sellers and buyers the expertise they need when choosing a realtor,” she states. But it doesn’t stop in Willow Glen. I have helped buyers all around the Bay Area for almost three decades where I have achieved Top 1% Realtor® and have been recognized with the Five Star Professional Award as a real estate agent in the South Bay area.”
With approximately 90% of her business consisting of repeat and referral clientele, what sets her apart from the competition is her unique ability to customize her services. “Everyone has a different situation, whether they are buyers, sellers, or investors,” she notes. “I’m able to listen to what each client needs and offer them those specific products. I work with top-notch professionals specializing in everything from estate sales to light remodeling for your home prior to sale and everything in between. I have much to provide.”
Perhaps the best proof of this is Gina’s SRES® designation. “This means that I have demonstrated the necessary knowledge and expertise to counsel clients age 50+ through major financial and lifestyle transitions in relocating, refinancing, or selling the family home,” she says.
Such a distinction is owed in part to Gina’s adamance to continuously educate herself on the latest real estate and marketing trends and how to best effectively balance communication with her clients. While she does provide a monthly newsletter, an annual calendar, and mailers, Gina is conscientious in her outreach so as not to overwhelm her clients with materials. “I tend to reach out more often to people who are actively in the market than to those who are not,” she says. Even her social media is curated with her clients and local network in mind. She says, “I never post about personal things. It’s always about the business, community, and relationships.”
Gina is a big believer in volunteering for her community. She works with the Make a Wish Foundation, works for the local Thrift Box, and is involved with the local schools. She also volunteers at her church. When not working, Gina and her husband love to travel. “I love to see the world and learn about other cultures and meet new people, we especially enjoy warm climates, but we’ll go anywhere.”
Gina loves what she does because she believes she truly makes a difference in the lives of her clients. “This is one of the biggest purchases most people will ever make,” she notes. “I want to help my client’s transition through this with as little stress as possible. It’s my job to keep them informed, calm and happy.” She currently has no plans to retire and is happy with the way her business is being run. She hopes to continue to help clients, meet new people, and help them achieve their individual real estate goals.
